We know shopping for a nursing bra online can feel tricky, especially when your body is changing throughout pregnancy.
After 10 years of helping mamas with sizing at expos, we’ve found that measurements alone can sometimes be misleading. Instead, we recommend starting with a bra that currently fits you and considering how it fits around both your chest and cup.
Check which hook you currently use. If you are after 30 weeks and already using the loosest setting, an extender may give you the additional room you need. Mama Noo bras come with an extender to accommodate changes as your pregnancy progresses.
If you are before 30 weeks and already using the loosest setting, we generally recommend going up a chest size. For example, if you currently wear a 34, consider a 36. If you currently wear a Large, consider an X Large.
For the cup, check whether you still have some comfortable room. If the cup already feels very tight with no room for breast growth or your milk coming in, we recommend going up a cup size.
